Set up Wage Groups

  • Salary groups are groups of employees, and different salary table templates and salary calculation plans are set for each group. Employees in the same group share the same salary table template and salary calculation plan, and an employee can only be applied to one salary group.

  • Operation steps: ① [Payroll] > [Payroll Settings] > [Wage Group] > [Add Wage Group] ② Basic settings, set wage group name, wage group department/employee, applicable wage table template ③ Set calculation rules, set calculation method, monthly salary calculation method, non-working days without salary items, and monthly salary calculation method for regular salary adjustment ④ Associate salary calculation plan, after setting, click "Save" 【Calculation method】 There are positive calculation and reverse calculation For example: The average salary of the current employee in the past 12 months (ADW) = 775.55, Sick leave deduction: 775.550.2 (only 20% deduction) 4 days = 620.44, Reverse calculation: 18000 - (620.44) =17379.56 Positive calculation: 1800026/30+(ADW4*4/5) =18081.76 【Monthly Payment Calculation】 The system will calculate how many hours an employee needs to work in a month to get their salary based on the monthly salary calculation method. 【Unpaid Unemployed Days】 For new employees/resigned employees, some wage items are exempted from payment on non-working days, such as fixed salary, or fixed basic salary plus bonus, etc. 【Fixed Salary Calculation for the Month of Salary Adjustment】 Salary calculation rules for employees in the month of confirmation (passed probation) and salary adjustment. The system provides three rules: 1. Calculated based on probation salary / salary before adjustment, 2. Calculated based on confirmed salary / salary after adjustment, and 3. Mixed calculation based on salaries before and after confirmation / adjustment. The salary calculation base is based on the salary items set by the administrator; the days for confirmation and salary adjustment are calculated based on the days before and after the effective date in the attendance schedule. 【Monthly Payment Calculation】 Illustration

    By calendar day of the month

    The system will calculate the average daily wage based on the number of days in the month

    The daily wage in June is 30 days of fixed wages, while in July it is 31 days of regular wages

    Number of days of attendance per month

    The number of days in a month that employees are required to work according to the schedule

    The normal office hours are Monday to Friday, and the number of days required in a month will be 22 days (assuming a month has 30 days and 8 days is Saturday/Sunday)

    Number of days of attendance per month + statutory holidays

    The system calculates the number of days of payroll based on the number of attendance days and statutory holidays in the current month

    Taking the Lunar New Year holiday in February as an example, the first, second and fourth days of the Lunar New Year (Friday, Saturday and Monday respectively) are statutory holidays and will therefore be counted. Assuming normal office hours, the monthly payroll period in February is 22 days (Friday on February 12, Monday on February 15, and Thursday on February 4 will also be counted)

    Number of days of attendance per month + statutory holidays + paid rest days

    The system can set the rest day as paid or unpaid. If it is the former, it will be counted

    For example, if the Saturdays and Sundays of the whole month are set to be paid as rest days, then the monthly pay period for the month will be 31 days

【Statutory Holidays Salary Rules for New Joiners】 The administrator can also set whether statutory holidays or public holidays during the first three months of an employee’s employment will be paid or handled in the form of "deduct first, then reimburse" (meaning that the salary deducted for statutory holidays during the first three months will be fully reimbursed to the employee in the fourth month); this setting can be enabled. The administrator can also choose the salary calculation base, the salary items for deductions, and the salary items for reimbursements according to company policy. Once the selection is completed, the related amounts will be displayed under the corresponding salary items on the payroll.

【Associate Payroll Plan】 The related salary calculation plan applies previously set rules to the wage group. This way, the system will automatically apply various rules to calculate the correct compensation.
